INTRODUCTION AND APPLICATIONS
After the shunt capacitor bank, which is installed in the transformer substation, is out of power, there must be a device to release its left-over electric charges. The parallel capacitor bank, which is under the auto switching system, will be required to lower the left-over electric charges to the safety voltage. The discharge resistances which comes within the capacitor bank contains quality issues more or less, they can not reach the requirement of protecting capacitors under the auto switching system most of the time. Therefore, it is technical and safety necessarily to install discharge coil for the parallel capacitor bank in transformer substation.
Considering the safe reliability of the parallel capacitor bank and its corollary equipment, the discharge coil uses single star connection which is recommended and widely adopted. Discharge coil connects parallel with each phase of the capacitor, the second winding connects as an open triangle, and connect the protection relay with imbalanced voltage in order to protect the loop. When components in any phase of the capacitor breaks down, it is required that the imbalanced voltage can detect the problem and be powered off from the capacitor bank,the discharge coil will guarantee the high accuracy of the protection.
The internal fuse is the major solution if there is any issue with the internal components of the assembling capacitor and highly capacity shunt capacitor bank, and making sure the capacitor running normally.
Because of the imbalanced capacitance may leads the voltage of the functioning phase and sound internal component of the malfunction phase increase, connecting the discharge coil, which comes with a tap in the middle, with each corresponding tap of the capacitor, measure the voltage of taps to each phase and the neutral point, make two independent secondary windings differential pressure and connect to the protection relay, compose the differential pressure protection loop,switch off the functioning internal component when the voltage is dangerously high, and drop out of the capacitor.
Some highly capacity capacitor use more than two series sections or using single highly capacity capacitor for connecting each phase.Extemal fuses for protection will not be sensitive enough for reaching the requirement at this point. Therefore, the differential pressure voltage protection will be the best choice for internal protection. FDMEC type discharge coil comes with the high accuracy measurement insure the sensitivity of the differential pressure protection. FDMEC type discharge coil comes with the tap-A2 in the middle of high tension coil, which is suitable for differential pressure protection system. A2 connects with the middle terminal of the capacitor bank, and the voltage will be 50% of the A1 and X's.
10~66kV oil type discharge coil is perfectly suitable for the above requirements and all-weather demand.

PRODUCT STRUCTURAL FEATURES
1. Using fully sealed horizontal type box as the body, dry vacuum oilingsystem, high reliability of sealing perfomance, then isolating from the outsideair is guaranteed, and its electric isolating oil compensation is under theunique structure with headed technique, and the pressure inside the box wilmaintain the minor positive pressure (no higher than 0.05MPa, and no lowerthan0.01MPa) whether the highest or the lowest temperature all the year around.
2. Highly dry vacuum oiling technology system is adopted and comes with high reliability.
3. FDRC type discharge coil contains two independent iron core which are advanced and high quality, and fully isolated structure with a secondary winding for each. The reasonable structure achieves low rate of work and low temperature rise, and insure the requirement of the accuracy of the protection of the differential voltage pressure.4. The horizontal type box, the porcelain insulator, and other body parts possess high sealing performance. There will be no need for over hauling and component exchange during the product's life period. There will be no oiling leaking or explosion. This is a maintenance free product.5. The product meets the standard of JB/T8970-1999 and DL/T653-2009.

1. Installation Location: Indoor/Outdoor
2. Environment Temperature:-40~55+°C
3. Altitude: no higher than 2000m
4. Seismic Level: there should be no violent mechanical vibration in the installation location.
5.Installation Environment: there should be no harmful gas, steam and, insulated or explosive dust.
6.Relative Humidity: no more than 90% per month, and no more than95% per day.

Seventh.
INSTALLATION AND TRANSPORTATION MATTERS
5. The product should be balanced during the transportation, and the tilt angle cannot be more than 15°, and cannot be placed upside down.
6. Load hook is required during the transportation, and the porcelain insulators cannot be used as handles.
